Audiobook Narration Samples

As a storyteller, Kent is passionate about all things mystery.  He loves reading and voicing books that combine mystery with horror, thriller, suspense, and psychological. Besides mystery, he also specializes in non-fiction, including biography, memoirs, business, family, history, philosophy, religious/spiritual, and self-development.

His Midwest voice adapts easily to a wide range of genres and excels at confident, engaging, and powerful vocal deliveries.

About Kent Lutt

Kent began his entertainment career as a musician in numerous rock and metal bands, including Minor Movements, There’s a Better Fire, and Esau (2002 - 2016). He has performed drums, vocals, saxophone, and keyboard on over ten studio recordings, along with touring throughout the Midwest.

Kent’s background also includes a B.A. in Broadcasting as well as 13+ years in radio, advertising, and voiceover. Additionally, he owns his own audio production company, Tone Tree Audio, LLC (16+ years). These unique experiences give him the ability to narrate, record, edit, and produce high-quality audio for distribution.

He was inspired to get into audiobook narration because his mother and grandmother were both afflicted with macular degeneration, which causes near-blindness. Kent wants his family and others with similar afflictions to still be able to enjoy books, regardless of their sighted abilities.

When not narrating, Kent enjoys the quiet beauty of Nebraska’s Platte River, as well as the corn fields that surround him. These provide inspiration for his passion for writing and recording ambient music. He enjoys reading, listening to audiobooks, playing music, and telling stories with his wife and three children. Kent utilizes his voiceover skills for local commercials and performing arts events. He continues to record, mix, and master music for local bands, as well as serving as an audiobook editor for authors, publishers, and other narrators.
